Scientific Integrity Policies

On March 9, 2009, President Obama issued a directive to the heads of executive branch departments regarding promulgation of new policies to safeguard scientific integrity within federal service. These policies are supposed to outlaw political manipulation of science, ensure transparency of decision-making and provide additional protection for scientific whistleblowers.

These policies are slowly coming into effect.  PEER has assembled detailed information about these policies and what they provide.
